David J. Swartz, 69, of Vero Beach, died Sunday, Nov. 28, 2010, in Sunrise, Fla.
He was born Jan. 9, 1941 in Follansbee, W. Va., and had been a resident of Vero Beach and Saint Lucie area for 15 years, coming from Pembroke Pines.
He was a member of Lutheran Church of the Redeemer, Vero Beach.
Swartz retired in 1997 as director of meat operations for Publix Supermarket’s, Miami division, after 35 years of service.
He is survived by his daughters, Leslie Coleman, of Sunrise, and Pamela Hilles, of Port Saint Lucie; brothers, George Swartz, of Atlanta, Ga., Paul Swartz, of Chicago, Ill., Michael Swartz, of Nashville, Tenn., and four grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held 2 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 8, at Lutheran Church of the Redeemer.
