VERO BEACH — You won’t want to miss a minute of this year’s Seventh Annual WinterFest at Pointe West event being held Saturday, December 18 from 2 to 6 pm. Heritage Park will be transformed into a winter wonderland complete with 32 tons of snow!
Kids will enjoy two giant Snow Slides as well as a small Bunny Slope for the little ones. The Penguin Pond ice skating rink is open to all ages and comes complete with ice skates.
Direct from the North Pole, the jolly old elf himself…Santa Claus…will be making an appearance and he’ll be bringing some special guests with him.
Co-hosted by Pointe West and the Indian River County Recreation Department, WinterFest will also feature Santa’s Fun Zone, full of inflatable fun, face painting, a petting zoo and pony rides.
A variety of musical entertainment is scheduled to perform under the grand entertainment pavilion and the Exchange Club of Indian River Foundation will be holding their Second Annual Merry Christmas Winner-Fest Raffle. Proceeds from raffle ticket sales will benefit local charities for the prevention of child abuse.
Saving the best for last, in addition to all the winter activities, the Fire & Ice celebration will once again feature a spectacular grand finale fireworks display beginning at 6 pm.
As always, admission to WinterFest is absolutely FREE so bring the entire family out for an afternoon filled with lots of fun, food and holiday magic.
