VERO BEACH — I saw Fido licking Santa Claus, underneath the Vero Beach Hotel & Spa Christmas tree. He didn’t see me creep, down the stairs to have a peek; he thought that I was tucked up in my guestroom fast asleep… On Saturday, December 11 and Sunday, December 12 Santa Paws will visit Kimpton’s Vero Beach Hotel & Spa, oceanfront hotel on Ocean Drive. Pet guests and local four-legged friends are invited to sleigh by for holiday photos and refreshments that are bound to get tails wagging with holiday spirit. Human companions are invited to bring their cameras and snap pictures of their pets with Santa amid festive décor, while furry friends enjoy treats and toys in the Vero Beach Hotel & Spa lobby.
“Santa Paws is bringing holiday cheer to our two- and four-legged guests and neighbors,” said Marco Scherer, general manager of the 113-room boutique hotel. “Pet patrons always receive special pampering at our property, which is why we thought it was only fitting to offer our furry friends a special way to celebrate the season.”
While Santa Paws is complimentary to attend and open to the public, the Vero Beach Hotel & Spa will be collecting donations from its pet patrons and local furry friends who wish to give items to support the Humane Society of Vero Beach and Indian River County this holiday season. Donations will be collected in the form of pet beds, blankets and food.
Santa Paws will be present from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Vero Beach Hotel & Spa on Dec. 11 and 12. Owners will need to bring cameras to capture a photo of their pet in Santa’s lap.
