Cobalt at Vero Beach Hotel “Fries and a Flute” promotion

VERO BEACH — To celebrate the release of Kimpton Cuvée, the first custom sparkling wine created exclusively for Kimpton restaurants, Cobalt Restaurant at Vero Beach Hotel will be offering guests a “Fries and a Flute” pairing. Throughout the month of November, guests can enjoy Truffle Fries along with a flute of Kimpton Cuvée for $20.

Kimpton Cuvée is a Blanc de Noirs created in partnership with Gloria Ferrer Caves and Vineyards. It is a pale pink blend of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, which demonstrates fruit flavors of strawberries and black cherries with lively, lush bubbles and a crisp, delicate finish and is available by the glass or bottle at Cobalt Restaurant.

Fertilizer restrictions to go into effect next month

We are coming into our rainy season when more nutrients such as nitrogen and phosphorous are likely to be washed from our lawns, driveways and roads into the storm water system and, ultimately, into our local waterways such as the Indian River Lagoon. ‘No swimming’ advisory lifted for beaches, officials say

VERO BEACH — Authorities lifted a 'no swimming' advisory for three local beaches Tuesday after test samples showed that bacteria returned to normal levels, health department and city officials said. The result means it was safe to return to the water Tuesday, Vero Beach city officials said. The advisory - which was in place for nearly a week - was issued Jan. 31 for South Beach, Humiston Beach and Sexton Plaza Beach after high levels of fecal-related bacteria were reported at the locations.
