VERO BEACH – Join in on the excitement from 1 to 4 p.m. on Saturday, November 20 when the Youth Guidance children are taken to celebrate the 46th Annual Harvest Festival at the Vero Beach Sports Village (formerly Dodgertown). Volunteers are needed to help the kids enjoy good company, refreshments and fall fun at this festivity.
The Harvest Festival, sponsored by St. Helen’s Catholic Church, is held every November and offers entertainment for the entire family. The attractions include rides, games, treats and prizes. Please join us for a day of amusement that the Youth Guidance children look forward to all year long. Many youngsters will attend the festival and over 40 volunteers are needed to pair with the children during this afternoon event.
The primary purpose of Youth Guidance is to match each of its nearly 700 at-risk K-12 grade children with a volunteer mentor 21 years or older. Mentors spend just a few hours a week with their mentee doing friendship based activities that they both enjoy.
