Teresa J. LoForte “Honey”, 89, Vero Beach

Teresa J. LoForte “Honey”, 89, died Oct. 21, 2010 at VNA Hospice House, Vero Beach.

She was born in New York City, N.Y. and lived in Vero Beach for 22 years coming from Boca Raton. She earned an associate degree from Brooklyn College, Brooklyn, N.Y. Loforte opened the Teri Anton Exclusive Dress Shop, Gilford, CT in 1971 which she ran until 1978.

In 1982 she became the co-owner of Harley Davidson of Ft. Pierce, with her husband, Anthony and son, Jeff. She loved gardening and was an avid reader. LoForte often volunteered for the St. Vincent DePaul Society.

Survivors include her sons, Gregory A. LoForte (Eva), of Cordova, AK and Jeff LoForte, Sr., of Vero Beach; grandsons, Jeff F. Loforte, Jr. and Greg A. Loforte, both of West Palm Beach and Chris A. Loforte, of Live Oak, Fla.

LoForte was preceded in death by her husband, Anthony Loforte in 1989.

Visitation will be from 6 – 8 p.m. on Oct. 28, at Strunk Funeral Home Vero Beach.

A prayer service will be held 7 p.m. on Oct. 28, at the funeral home.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. on Oct. 29, at Holy Cross Catholic Church Vero Beach.
