VERO BEACH — Cobalt Restaurant at Vero Beach Hotel, a Kimpton restaurant, is inviting you to enjoy a cocktail and help benefit CARE Resource Center with Cocktails for a Cure. As part of Kimpton’s Red Ribbon Program, Cobalt is featuring three cocktails from October 1 through World AIDS Day, December 1, to raise funds for CARE Resource Center, South Florida’s oldest and largest HIV/AIDS organization. When guests purchase one of Master Mixologist Jacques Bezuidenhout’s featured cocktails, $1 will be donated to the charity. All of the Red Ribbon cocktails will be available for $10 each.
Raise a toast to the cure with the ROUGE (Belvedere Vodka, Grand Marnier, Campari and fresh orange juice shaken with raspberries), RUBY RED (Belvedere Pink Grapefruit Vodka, Lillet Blanc, fresh grapefruit juice and simple syrup muddled with ginger coins and sparked with club soda), or the VS SMASH (Hennessy VS, Grand Marnier, 10 yr Tawny Port and lemon juice muddled with pineapple and dusted with grated nutmeg).
For more than 20 years Kimpton Hotels and Restaurants have been partnering with HIV service organizations through employee volunteerism, HIV educational campaigns, corporate donations and raising funds through special events. Throughout November and December, 10 percent from the sale of holiday gift certificates to Kimpton restaurants will benefit Red Ribbon charities nationwide. In last two years the Red Ribbon campaign raised more than $170,000 for local HIV charities throughout the United States.
