Ralph P. Klepfer, 89, died Oct. 6, 2010, at VNA Hospice House in Vero Beach.
He was born in Highland Park, Pa., and lived in Indian River County since 1968, coming from Glen Mills, Pa. During World War II, he was a loftsman for Sunship Building.
Before retirement, he was a self-employed architectural designer for 30 years.
He was a lead electrical engineer for the space program and Boeing Vertol, both in Pennsylvania, and Piper Aircraft in Vero Beach.
He was a member of the Faith Baptist Church in Vero Beach.
Survivors include his wife of 33 years, Bea; daughter, Lynne Bama, of Wapiti, Wyo.; sons, Richard Klepfer, of Cushing, Maine, David Klepfer, of Harleysville, Pa., and Gerald Gasser, of Chester Springs, Pa.; stepdaughters, Peggy Hayles and Lisa Thompson, both of Vero Beach, Mary K. Streitz, of Pennsville, N.J., and Elizabeth J. Taylor, of Sebastian; 15 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Christine Petropoulos.
