VERO BEACH — A Grand Opening Reception of the new Leightty Gallery is planned for November18 from 4:00 to 8:00 pm, featuring new works by Karen Leightty, and other renowned local artists. Electric Impressions, featuring large, impressive colorful works by Karen Leightty, owner and artist of Leightty Gallery, are currently on display at her exciting new gallery located at 2041 14th Avenue in Vero Beach across from the Theatre Plaza.
Browse the Gallery and enjoy this unique show-alive with color and beauty. Karen’s current collection excites the eye, and stimulates the soul. A photographer at heart, she is also an accomplished oil painter, works of which will be presented sometime in the near future at the Gallery.
Attention Artists: The Leightty Gallery is looking for interested Fine Artists with a following. Artist must be experienced in a specific style. Participation requires artists to work in the gallery at least one day per week.
Leightty Gallery is very excited about the new space, which is part of the new offices of the Cultural Council of Indian River County, and of Main Street Vero Beach. They hope to bring a positive energy and attention for all three organizations.
Karen Leightty, former owner of Garden of Art, has been painting and studying fine art for over 25 years, with many years in the art and photography gallery business. Electric Impressions, her latest body of work, was recently exhibited in the prestigious Ta’ Kohl Gallery in Chicago, and opened to rave reviews.
Entitled Electric Winter at its Chicago show, this body of work was inspired by the beauty of our tropical surroundings of Florida, which is always a source of inspiration and energy when it comes to either clicking the lens or putting brush to canvas.
“It is such gift,” says Karen, “to be able to live in this beautiful piece of America.” Living on the Indian River has inspired many of my works and, I never forget to take time for our incredible sunsets.
