Charles David Beir, 92, Vero Beach

Charles David Beir, 92, of Vero Beach, died Wednesday, Oct. 6, 2010, at his home.

Beir was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., and has been a resident of Vero Beach for seven years. He moved to Florida in 1977 coming from New Jersey.

He was a home builder and was a member of the Lions Club and a fantasy sports fan.

Survivors include his daughter Linda Beir Muldoon of Minneapolis, Mn.; son, Richard Beir, of Vero Beach; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

He was predeceased by his wife, Gail Beir, and daughter, Karen Beir.

A private family memorial will take place at a later date.

Memorial contributions may be made to the National Cancer Institute, Building 31, Room 11A-16-9000 Rockville Pike, Bethesda, MD 20892.

Arrangements are under the direction of Cox-Gifford-Seawinds Funeral Home and Crematory, Vero Beach, Florida.

Fellsmere among towns impacted by Hurricane Irma to get infrastructure award

Fellsmere is among several Florida towns that will receive an infrastructure award that will go toward restoration and improvement projects following the damage left behind by the 2017 Hurricane Irma, state officials said Friday. ‘Tragic, sudden loss,’ – Memorials emerge for teen killed in ATV crash

With the sudden death of Sebastian River High School student Jake Beecher still fresh, family, friends, teammates and coaches continue to come to terms with the tragic crash that took his life.
