SEBASTIAN – The Sebastian Area Historical Society will jumpstart its annual lecture series with a presentation on “Roseland History.”
Friends of Roseland Historian Donna Parkins will present the lecture. The series begins Oct. 20 at 7:30 p.m. in the North County Library.
The event is open to the public. Refreshments follow the program. The series continues monthly through March, except for December.
Other programs in the free series include:
“Fellsmere Firsts,” on Nov. 17 – local historian Rich Votpka will portray founder Norman Fell;
“History of McKee Botanical Garden,” on Jan. 19 with Christine Hobart, Executive Director;
“History of Piper Aircraft and the Future,” Feb. 16, Speaker to be announced;
Program and speaker to be announced – March 16.
