VERO BEACH — Recent Davis Cup hero Mardy Fish, experiencing the most fruitful year of his pro tennis career, is looking forward to this year’s annual Mardy’s Tennis & Jake’s Music Fest in Vero Beach, December 10 and 11, to benefit the Mardy Fish Foundation,. Fish is thrilled that the Mardy Fish Foundation Achievable Dreams initiative has recently been able to expand its reach.
Fish and childhood friend RCA recording artist Jake Owen will join forces on Mardy’s Tennis & Jakes Music Fest for the fifth straight year. The weekend event includes a variety of exciting events, including a tennis exhibition with Fish and his pro friends at Grand Harbor Golf & Beach Club and a fabulous concert by Jake Owen at the historic Holman Stadium.
12 schools in the Indian River County School District will now feature after-school programs sponsored by the Mardy Fish Foundation Achievable Dreams after-school programs including Beachland Elementary, Citrus Elementary, Dodgertown Elementary, Fellsmere Elementary, Glendale Elementary, Highland Elementary, Liberty Magnet, Osceola Magnet, Pelican Island Elementary, Sebastian Elementary, Treasure Coast Elementary and Vero Beach Elementary.
The Foundation also initiated the new Mardy’s Kids on Courts, and continues to support the Boys & Girls Club of Vero Beach, and The Youth Guidance Foundation.
Mardy’s Tennis & Jake’s Music Fest kicks-off on Friday, December 10 with a Kids’ Tennis Clinic at Grand Harbor Golf & Beach Club followed by the Jake Owen Concert at Hollman Stadium. It continues on Saturday, December 11 with a Luncheon at Grand Harbor with a live and silent auction and a Tennis Exhibition featuring Fish and other current and/or former touring tennis professionals in a singles and doubles match.
Tennis Exhibition tickets are $75 for Box Seats and $35 for General Admission tickets. Tickets for the Jake Owen Concert with Special Guests are $75 for Premier Seats (on field), $50 for Pit Area, $25 for Reserved Seats (stadium seating) and $15 for General Admission (stadium seating).
