Thomas L. Schnetzler, 81, died Sept. 8, 2010, at his home.
He was born in Penns Grove, N.J., and lived Vero Beach for 21 years, coming from Glassboro, N.J. Before retirement in 1989, he was a produce manager at Acme Markets in New Jersey. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War.
He was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church in Vero Beach.
Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Bettyann; daughters, Virginia Velykis, of Franklinville, N.J., and Susan Marr, of Sebastian; sons, Thomas Schnetzler Jr., of Grenloch, N.J., and Paul Schnetzler of Glassboro; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to VNA Hospice of Indian River County, 1110 35th Lane, Vero Beach, FL 32960.
A memorial service will be at a later date in New Jersey with internment at Gloucester County Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Monroe Township, N.J.
