Jacalyn Beindorf McCabe, 59, died Aug. 28, 2010, at Indian River Medical Center, Vero Beach.
She was born in West Point, Ga., and lived in Vero Beach for most of her life.
She was a member of First Baptist Church, Vero Beach. She was a graduate of Vero Beach High School and attended Judson College in Marion, Ala., for two years, transferring to the University of Alabama, Tuscaloosa, Ala., for her pre-medical education.
She graduated from Jacksonville University, Jacksonville, receiving a bachelor’s degree in medical technology and later a master’s degree in nursing from the University of Idaho, Moscow, Idaho.
Survivors include her son, Dr. Daniel B. McCabe, of Hood River, Ore.; parents, James Lee and Katheryn Sims Beindorf, of Vero Beach; brothers, James Lee Beindorf Jr., of Rusk, Texas, and P. Andy Beindorf, of Vero Beach; and sister, Jennifer Bailey, of Palos Verdes, Calif.

A memorial service will be at 10:30 a.m. Sept. 2 at First Baptist Church, Vero Beach, with the Rev. Derrick West, pastor, and Dr. James F. Graves officiating.
