Francis “Frank” S. Ferrara, 78, of Vero Beach, died Wednesday, Aug. 18, 2010 at the VNA Hospice House in Vero Beach.
Ferrara was born Oct. 6, 1931, in Jersey City, N.J., and has been a resident of Florida since 1986 coming from Colonia, N.J. He was an associate manager with Prudential Property and Casualty Company and a disabled veteran having served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a member of St. Helen Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus and Sandridge Golf Club.
Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Lorraine Ferrara; son, Frank (Millie) Ferrara, of Ft. Pierce; grandson, Matthew Ferrara, of Vero Beach; step-granddaughters, Selina Seidel, of Melbourne, and Francesca Alvarez, of Palm Beach Gardens; and step-great-grandson, Tyler Seidel, of Melbourne.
The family will receive friends 4-7 p.m., Sunday, Aug. 22, at Cox-Gifford-Seawinds Funeral Home, 1950 20th St., Vero Beach. A Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m., Monday, Aug. 23, at St. Helen Catholic Church.
