Philip Barton Stull, Jr.,76, died at Hospice House on Aug. 12, 2010, of a malignant brain tumor and is survived by his wife, Elaine Callahan Stull.
Phil retired to Vero Beach in 1933 and during that time volunteered at Samaritan Center and Habitat for Humanity. Phil was a resident and member of Orchid Island Golf and Beach Club.
Phil was born in Wilmington, Del., son of Florence and Philip Barton Stull, Sr. He was predeceased by his sisters, Dorothy Weilberg and Elizabeth Stull.
He was educated at Tower Hill in Wilmington, Westminister in Simsbury, Conn., and Yale University. In his business career he worked for Standard Oil, Oronite Chemical Division; American Enka, Allied Chemical and BASF.
Phil is survived by his children from his previous marriage, Catherine (James) Stull Kniffen and Philip B. (Sandy) Stull III, of Rock Hill, S.C.; and grandchildren, James Kniffen, and Kenneth and Ashley Smith.

A mass will be celebrated Monday, Aug. 23, 2010 at 10 a.m. at Holy Cross Catholic Church.Arrangements are under the direction of Cox-Gifford-Seawinds Funeral Home and Crematory, Vero Beach.
