Gerard Izzo, 84, died July 31, 2010, at VNA Hospice House, Vero Beach.
He was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., and lived in Sebastian for 35 years coming from Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. He served in the US Navy during World War II and was a Roman Catholic.
He was a bar/restaurant owner and previously owned the Hooten Owle, now Earl’s Hideaway, Bottom’s Up, Jerry’s Sub and Pub, BoJo’s and the Do Stop Inn in Wabasso until his retirement in 2008.
Survivors include his son, Charles Izzo, of Brooklyn, N.Y.; brothers, Joseph Izzo, of Lutz, Fla., George Izzo, of Ormand Beach, Fla.; and sister, Patricia Izzo, of Franklin, Maine.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Visiting Nurse Association & Hospice Foundation, 1110 35th Lane, Vero Beach, FL 32960 in memory of Gerard Izzo.
