Carmelo Pampallona died July 26, 2010.
He was born in Caltagirone, Sicily, and lived in Vero Beach. He graduated from the European Institute of Design in Milan, Italy. He was a sculptor and spent eight years working in South Africa and Brazil. Survivors include his wife, Melinda Low Pampallona; son, Rio Pampallona; brothers, Diego Pampallona, of Italy, and Salvo Pampallona, of Fort Worth, Texas; and sister, Ines Zavattieri, of Italy.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Maria Giovanna Pampallona; and father, Giovanni Pampallona.

A memorial service will be at 3 p.m. July 31 at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Vero Beach. Arrangements are by All County Funeral Home & Crematory.
