Suspect: “Give me everything you got”

GIFFORD — Authorities have arrested two men accused of committing armed robbery July 28, that occurred 2:44 a.m. at 3050 45th Street.

The victim reported to the Indian River County Sheriff’s Office that he was robbed at gunpoint by three men, one of whom said, “Give me everything you got.” According to the Sheriff’s Office, the victim was parked in the vacant lot next to 3050 45th Street when the suspects’ SUV pulled up beside him.

One of the black males asked him “why he sold him something” and continued to ask him for his money back.

The victim told authorities that he told the guy that he did not sell him anything. At that moment, he said, one black male pulled a handgun from his waistband and pointed it at his head and said, “Give me everything you got.”

The victim took out his wallet and gave him $100, he told the Sheriff’s Office. The suspect then demanded money from the victim’s passenger as well.

The three suspects made it into St. Lucie County and bailed from their vehicle in a residential area according to a St. Lucie County Sheriff’s report.

The suspects were tracked by two St. Lucie K-9 units and helped apprehend Anthony Deshawn Johnson, 31, and Cletis Lewis, 19. The third suspect was not identified, though he was arrested.

All suspects are being charged with armed robbery, according to the Indian River County Sheriff’s Office.
