Virginia J. Hubbard, 76, died July 11, 2010, at Atlantic Healthcare Center, Vero Beach. She was born in New York and lived in Vero Beach since 2004, coming from Fort Pierce. She was as a receptionist at the Benton Building in Fort Pierce. She was a member of Northside Christian Fellowship, Fort Pierce.

Memorial contributions may be made to Northside Christian Fellowship, 3100 St. Lucie Blvd., Fort Pierce, FL 34946.

A memorial service will be at 11:30 a.m. July 31 at Northside Christian Fellowship, Fort Pierce, with a covered dish reception to follow.

‘Tragic, sudden loss,’ – Memorials emerge for teen killed in ATV crash

With the sudden death of Sebastian River High School student Jake Beecher still fresh, family, friends, teammates and coaches continue to come to terms with the tragic crash that took his life. Slight dip for July beach attendance compared to last year

VERO BEACH — Beachgoers are hitting the shores this summer all while practicing social distancing amid the coronavirus pandemic. The city's three guarded beaches had a slight dip in attendance numbers in July compared to last year, according to a Vero Beach Lifeguard Association report. Last month, 86,095 people flocked to Jaycee Park Beach, Humiston Park Beach and South Beach Park, lifeguards said. This number is less than the 86,686 beachgoers who hit the sand in July 2019. In July of 2018, the city set an attendance record when the beaches had 93,000 visitors, lifeguards said.
