Eugene “Gene” F. Welsh, 73, died July 17,2010, at Sebastian River Medical Center.
He lived in Sebastian, coming from Blue Point, N.Y.
Before retirement, he was a Suffolk County, N.Y., police officer for 24 years.
He served in the Army from 1955 through 1958. He was a member of the Elks, the Moose Lodge and the Italian-American Club.
Survivors include his sons, James Welsh of Sands Point, N.Y., and Patrick Welsh of Glen Oaks, N.Y.; and daughter, Kelly Welsh of Los Angeles.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Nancy Welsh.
