Michael J. Kalinowski, 61, died June 26, 2010, at his home.
He was born in New Britain, Conn., and lived in Vero Beach for 5 years, coming from Miami.
He was an Army veteran, serving in Germany. He attended the University of Miami. He was a controller for Hallett Pontiac in Miami and most recently was controller for Pompano Beach-based Mattress Xpress. Locally, he worked in an administrative support position with scholarship students at Dollars for Scholars of Indian River County and also with the Jungle Club of Vero Beach.
Survivors include his wife of 20 years, Jamie Kalinowski of Vero Beach; sons, Justin Kalinowski of Vero Beach and Jeffrey Kalinowski; stepson, Nick Dobratz of Vero Beach; and daughters, Kristin Kalinowski of Las Vegas and Amy Kalinowski of Miami.
A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. June 29 at Strunk Funeral Home and Crematory, Vero Beach.
