VERO BEACH – Finally, getting In The Ruff is a good thing! H.A.L.O. Rescue and Stray No More, Inc. are partnering for their first In The Ruff Golf Tournament, Saturday, August 28 at the Indian River Club in Vero Beach, to help animals and residents of Indian River County. The benefit begins at 8:00 a.m. with a continental breakfast. Tournament format is a four-man scramble teeing-off at 9:00 a.m., followed by an all you can eat barbeque. Player entry fee is $100 per player.
There will be a silent auction, 50/50 raffle, door prizes and much more. The public is invited to attend the on-site adoption event, featuring pets of all shapes and sizes, a low cost vaccination clinic from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. with Dr. Sara Matthews, DVM and professional pet photography by Bob Hemstreet Photography. Sponsors, players, auction item donors and volunteers are encouraged to participate. Several levels of sponsorship are available, in addition to personalized tee signs for $50. Tee signs may feature a company name, favorite pet’s photo or other individualized message. Golfer or not, everyone is invited to participate.
H.A.L.O. Rescue, the only no-kill animal shelter in Indian River County, is dedicated to providing a safe haven for abused and abandoned animals waiting to find a new home. Stray No More, Inc. is a volunteer organization committed to reducing the stray animal population through a low cost spay/neuter program. All profits will directly assist animals and residents of Indian River County. And, donations are tax deductible.
