Donald Bruce Davidson, 75, Lake Forest and Vero Beach

Donald Bruce Davidson, 75, longtime resident of Lake Forest, passed away suddenly on June 22, 2010.

He was a graduate of New Trier High School, Princeton University, and the University of Chicago. He was a well-known insurance executive, philanthropist, and community leader.

Preceded in death by his first wife Joyce Gibbons, he is survived by his wife Sherrie, daughter Anne Rippel, husband Dan, daughter Lynda Crowell, husband Rob, stepdaughter Heather Geismann, husband Todd, and stepson Bill Davidson, wife Suzana. Also survived by grandchildren: Kaitlin, Ben, and Tyler Rippel, Sam, Jack and Alex Crowell, Ava and Viola Geismann.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Old Elm Scholarship Foundation, Rush Presbyterian St. Luke’s Hospital in Chicago, or Dogs For Life (Dog Park Memorial Garden), P.O. Box 650023, Vero Beach, Florida, 32965.
