9 Grand Harbor units to be without water Monday

INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — Nine units in the Grand Harbor community will be without water on Monday, June 28, starting at 8 a.m. while the Indian River County Utilities Department installs a new meter on East Harbor Village Drive.

The work is expected to take six hours to complete.

Upon restoration of water service, the Indian River County Utilities Department advises that all water used for the following be boiled (a rolling boil of one minute is sufficient):

Drinking

Cooking

Making ice

Brushing teeth

Hand washing dishes

Bottled water may be used as an alternative.

This boil water notice will remain in effect until a bacteriological survey shows that the water is safe to drink. The department is unable to provide an exact time of survey completion, though it should be no more than 72 hours.

A rescission notice will be distributed.

Affected properties include: 9 units within 5380 E. Harbor Village Drive
