INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — The Indian River County Sheriff’s office reported four fatalities over the Memorial Day Weekend holiday in two separate accidents. The incidents were both investigated by the Florida Highway Patrol.On Saturday, May 29 three Hollywood residents were killed after a tire blew out on the SUV while traveling north on I-95 in Indian River County. On Sunday 49-year-old Jocelyne Daguilh was killed when a van she was riding in crashed with a pickup truck at 58th Avenue and 77th Street. The Sheriff’s office, in conjunction with the Vero Beach Police Department and the Indian River Shores Public Safety Department conducted “enforcement operations” over the holiday weekend in conjunction with the national Click It or Ticket seat belt campaign.The operations resulted in four DUI arrests, six traffic arrests, 35 traffic warnings, 38 traffic citations, 25 seat belt citations and 102 traffic stops throughout the county.The Click it or Ticket campaign will run through June 6.
