Thomas W. Burton Jr., 79, died May 20, 2010, at Indian River Medical Center.
He was born in Richmond, Va., and lived in Vero Beach. He was employed by Bio-Services Inc. as vice president of field operations.
He retired from the Army after completing 22 years of service. He was a member of the Masonic Fraternity Clemson Lodge 254 AFM, Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge 1822 and BPOE Lodge 1774.
He was a founding member of the Athletic Equipment Managers Association and a former member of the Sunrise Pilot Club.
Survivors include his wife, Jane Paysinger Burton; daughters, Jan Steenback of Simpsonville, S.C.; and Jerri Martin of Liberty, S.C.; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
