Teens Work Job Seminar being offered

VERO BEACH — Want to get a job?  Join Youth Guidance and Teens Work for a Job Seminar on Saturday, June 19, from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm, at the Indian River County Main Library.  The workshop, hosted by Schuyler Roseland, will feature practical job-hunting tips from some of the top professionals in Vero Beach.

This power-packed, motivational event features speakers such as attorney John Moore, Managing Partner of Rossway, Moore and Taylor; insurance executive Gerry Thistle, Vice President of Willis of Florida; college advisor Pam Proctor, President of College Application Consultants; and entrepreneur Mary Sue Walker, owner of Cravings, the popular beachside ice cream shop.

These experts will help young adults become a pro in the workforce.  Teens will learn how to write a winning résumé, useful for college as well as jobs.  They will discover how to handle themselves in an interview, including what to wear and what not to say.  Students will get advice on how to balance their time at school and on the job for maximum success and get the inside scoop on what employers are looking for in an employee.

As an added bonus, pizza and beverages will be served during an intermission lunch break.  Register now and be automatically entered into a drawing for door prizes!

To register or to learn more, call Schuyler Roseland at 772-766-2247 or email vbteenswork@yahoo.com.
