James F. “Jim” Davenport, Jr., 79, died April 3, 2010, at Sebastian River Medical Center.
He was born in Middletown, R.I., and lived in Sebastian for 30 years, coming from South Palm Beach.
He worked 25 years as a communication supervisor for Southern Bell Telephone. He served in the Navy during the Korean War. He was a Master Mason; member of the Scottish Rite; past member of the Shrine and Sebastian River Shrine Club, Sebastian; and past president Azan Temple Greeters Unit, Melbourne.
Survivors include his wife, Lynn A. Davenport of Sebastian; sons; and one brother. He was preceded in death by two sisters.

Masonic honors will be conducted at 11 a.m. on June 5 at Strunk Funeral Home, Sebastian, with the Rev. Joe Generazio officiating.
Military honors will be conducted by the Sebastian Area Veterans’ Honor Guard.
