VERO BEACH — GFWC (General Federation of Women’s Clubs) Treasure Coast Women teamed up with the Lakes of Pointe West to celebrate the club’s 30 years of service to Indian River County. Kay Moran, Community Relations Director for the Lakes welcomed the 132 past and present members in attendance.
GFWC Florida State President, Teddy Hulse commended the members for their devotion to community service.
Peter O’Bryan, Chairman of the County Commission and Tom White, Vero Beach City Councilman both read and presented proclamations honoring the women for their years of service.
Past Presidents were introduced by Sandy Hall and Charter Members by Bobbi Burdick, Chairman of the event. An engraved clock was given to Bobbi Burdick for 50 years of service to GFWC Florida.
Dinner was prepared by the Lakes Master Chef, Neal Williams. The highlight of the evening was entertainment by Edmond Nalzaro, Shamara Turner and Danielle Ferritti-Parris, singing a selection of show tunes.
