Samuel L. Prickett, Jr., 66, died May 12, 2010, at VNA Hospice House in Vero Beach.
He was born in Dover, N.J., and lived in Sebastian for seven years, coming from New Jersey.
He worked as a machinist in the aerospace industry. He served in the Army. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus.
Survivors include his wife of 36 years, Alberta Prickett of Sebastian; son, Joseph Prickett of New Jersey; daughters, Geraldine Southard of Sebastian, Florence Sattley of Pennsylvania, Samantha Dice of Virginia and Amanda DeJesus of Hackettstown, N.J.; brothers, Lewis Prickett of New York and George Prickett of Tennessee; sisters, Edna Marie Stephenson of Rapid City, S.D., and Helen Ann Saxfield of Pennsylvania; and 16 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Roberta Presher.

A memorial service will be June 13, 2010, in Franklin, N.J.
