Raymond Holiday, 51, died May 10, 2010.
He was born in Millen, Ga., and lived in West Palm Beach, coming from Vero Beach and Stuart.
He worked 27 years as a corrections deputy, starting his career with the Indian River Correctional Institution prior to St. Lucie County Department of Detention, Fort Pierce, and finally working with the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office Main Detention Center, West Palm Beach.
He earned his Career Deputy I Corrections Officer designation in 2005. He was raised in the Church of God.
Survivors include his ex-wife, Vivian Holiday of Sebastian; daughters, Latonya Holiday and Antronyanna “Latrice” Holiday, both of Vero Beach; sisters, Dorothy Jones of Vero Beach, Hazel Tye and Cheryl Holiday, both of Atlanta, Joan Juan Holiday of San Antonio, Texas, Estella Holiday and Georgia Williams, both of New Jersey, and Idella McCormick of Fort Myers; brothers, Sol Holiday III of Fort Lauderdale, Col. Dr. Harry Holiday of California, and Palmer Holiday of Stuart; two grandchildren; and friend, Benita Bumphis of West Palm Beach.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Bernice and Sol Holiday Jr.

A viewing will be from 6 to 8 p.m. May 14 at Jones Temple, Vero Beach. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. May 15 at the New Mount Sinai Baptist Church, Vero Beach.
He will be transferred to James R. Barnes Funeral Home in Statesboro, Ga., where a visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. May 16 at the funeral home and a graveside service on at 11 a.m. May 17 at Skull Creek Cemetery, Millen, Ga.
