VERO BEACH — Lucinda H. Gedeon, Ph.D. Executive Director/CEO of the Vero Beach Museum of Art is pleased to announce that the Museum installed a New Executive Committee of its Board of Trustees at the Museum’s Annual Meeting on April 22, 2010.
The Board’s new Executive Committee for 2010-2011 is Mr. Peter M. Thompson, Chairman of the Board; Mr. D. Theodore Berghorst, Vice Chairman; Mr. Bernard Kastory, Treasurer; Mrs. Deborah D. Weise, Secretary; Mr. William L. Frick, At Large; Ms. Barbara Neubarth, At Large; Robert F. Ritter, At Large, Mrs. Sandra L. Rolf, At Large; Mrs. Judith P. Schneebeck, At Large, Mrs. Teryl T. Viner, At Large; and Mrs. Georgia E. Welles, At Large.
The Vero Beach Museum of Art Board of Trustees Executive Committee are volunteers and community leaders who are selected by the Museum’s leadership to serve, lend their expertise, and champion the Museum’s mission, vision, and core values. These leaders are dedicated to cultural well-being of the community by assuring the professionalism, quality of exhibitions and programming, and future of the Museum.
The Vero Beach Museum of Art will celebrate its 25th Anniversary in 2011. The Museum began as the fulfillment of the combined efforts and vision of community-based supporters and organizations. The Vero Beach Museum of Art, known at the time as the Center for the Arts, opened its doors to the public on January 31, 1986.
The Museum is the largest cultural arts facility of its kind on Florida’s Treasure Coast. This accredited art museum offers regional, national, and international art exhibitions, sculpture park, studio art and humanities classes, exhibition tours, Museum Store, film studies, performances, workshops, lectures, seminars, art research library, public programs, youth events, and community cultural celebrations.
