Family and friends of Christopher Moore, along with volunteers, are continuing the search for the pilot who went missing after his aircraft disappeared over the ocean near the Bahamas. Volunteers are searching on foot along nearby shorelines, with boats and aircrafts for any sign of Moore or his plane along the flight path, said Moore's wife, Stayce Love. Love, who is leading the search, said they tracked a possible cell phone ping of the plane's location on Thursday. Further details on the ping were not immediately available. We are coming into our rainy season when more nutrients such as nitrogen and phosphorous are likely to be washed from our lawns, driveways and roads into the storm water system and, ultimately, into our local waterways such as the Indian River Lagoon. The fertilizer ordinances passed by our communities goes into effect June 1st. It prohibits the use of lawn fertilizer between June 1st and September 30th. The U.S. Coast Guard will continue its search overnight for a father and son who failed to arrive in Vero Beach in their boat Tuesday following a trip from northwestern Florida, officials said. Coast Guard officials said Peter Cook, 57, and Gerald Cook, 81, both of Vero Beach, were traveling with four dogs in a 52-foot steel hull vessel named "Rome." The boaters left Port St. Joe near Panama City on Feb. 13 and were expected to arrive in Vero Beach Tuesday, officials said in a social media post.
