Otis C. Newman, 63, died April 20, 2010. He was born in Vero Beach.
Survivors include his wife, Bertha Newman of Vero Beach; son, James Oliver of Atlanta; daughters, Rhonda McBride, Lillie Gibson, Barbara Pressley and Renee Smith, all Vero Beach, Serill Brooks of Jacksonville, and Verna Tyson-Newark of New Jersey; brother, Otis Newman Jr. of Miami; sisters, Catherine Davis of Wabasso, Lorene Goodin of Sebastian, Arvilla Sharp of Palm Bay and Aris Taylor of Ocala; 27 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. April 24 at Macedonia Baptist Church.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. April 23 at the church.
Burial will follow in Wabasso Cemetery. Arrangements are by Hortense/Mills Memorial Funeral Home.
