Sally Ann Powers Thomson, 70, died April 19, 2010, at the Indian River Medical Center.
She was born in Lyons, N.Y., and lived in Vero Beach, coming from Scotia, N.Y.
She attended Springfield College and was a teacher at Brown School, Schenectady, N.Y., until her retirement. She was a member of the board of directors at Vista Gardens.
Survivors include her sons, Theodore “Teddy” Thomson and Daniel Thomson of Scotia, N.Y.; sisters, Cornelia Courtney of South Hampton, N.H., Donna Barber of Watertown, N.Y., Jean Crenshaw of Monmouth, N.J., Corrine Barker of Central Square, N.Y., and Susan Washburn of Henderson Harbor; and four grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her son, Thomas Thomson; and her husband of 50 years, Theodore Thomson.

A celebration of her life will be at 1:30 p.m. April 22 at the Vista Gardens Club House.
Burial will be at a later date in Memory Gardens, Albany, N.Y.
