Charles Hobbs, 87, died April, 16 2010, at the Indian River Medical Center.
He was born in Philadelphia and lived in Vero Beach since 1978.
He owned a metal finishing business in Sellersville, Pa. He enlisted in the Coast Guard during World War II.
He attended Pennsylvania State University. He was a longtime member of the Community Church in Vero Beach and was a member of the Masonic Order.
Survivors include his wife of 41 years, Mary Hobbs of Vero Beach; daughters, Elizabeth Trupin-Pulli of Santa Fe, N.M., Marita Hobbs of Colorado Springs, Colo., Irene Searcy of Fort Pierce, and Elane Reno of Jacksonville; son, William Brown of Sellersville, Pa.; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Community Church of Vero Beach, 1901 23rd St., Vero Beach, FL 32960.
A memorial service will be at 10 a.m. April 23 at Community Church, Vero Beach. Arrangements are by Strunk Funeral Home and Crematory, Vero Beach. A guest book is available at strunkfuneralhome.com.
