Richard Walter Klink died April 14, 2010 surrounded by his family.
Predeceased by his beloved wife, Rose, of 53 years, he is survived by son Richard W. Klink, Jr., daughters Laura Bella (Aldo), Rosanne Moler (Steve), Suzanne Leffew (Jim) and sister Madeline Pomerantz.
He was born in Ridgefield, N.J. in 1933 and served in the Korean War as a paratrooper in the 82nd Airborne. After returning from Korea, he married his childhood sweetheart Rose and worked in the construction industry, originally as an iron worker in New York City, and worked on signature buildings such as the World Trade Center.
Rich and his family moved to Florida in 1977 and he became a project manager for large commercial lift slab, post-tension, and pre-stressed concrete projects throughout the country.
He leaves behind nine grandchildren: Robbie, Kristen, Paul, Kyle, Tyler, Jim, Jennifer, Jake, and Courtney and three great-grand children: Jordon, Sophie & Chase.
At the family’s request, a private memorial service will be held at Trinity Church. Memorial contributions may be made to the VNA Hospice Foundation, 1110 35th Lane, Vero Beach, FL 32960.
