Jack Edwin Pheneger, 72, died March 28, 2010, at Sebastian River Medical Center.
He was born in Alexandria, Ohio, and lived in Sebastian since 1997, coming from Columbus, Ohio. Before retirement, he was a golf professional and lifetime member of the PGA.
He was assistant pro at Granville Inn and Golf Course, He was head pro at Highlands Golf Club and Raymond Memorial Golf Course, superintendent of Bolton Field Golf Course and golf course maintenance manager for city of Columbus. He was on the bag staff at Bent Pines Golf Club.
Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Carol Pheneger of Sebastian; sons, Michael Pheneger of Lake Wales, Gregory Pheneger of Vero Beach and Jon Pheneger of Circleville, Ohio; brother, James Pheneger of Berra, Ohio; sisters, Barbara Jones of Lancaster, Ohio, and Shirley Crim of Newark, Ohio; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his brothers, William and Richard Pheneger; and sister, Pat Daniels.
