Pastor Timothy Mark Phillips, 51, died March 23, 2010. He was born in Cullman, Ala., and lived in Vero Beach, coming from Key West. He earned his master of divinity degree at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. He pastored at several churches throughout Florida, including Glendale Baptist Church in Vero Beach. He served as first vice president of the 2005 Florida Baptist Convention. He was a member of King’s Baptist Church in Vero Beach. Survivors include his wife, Suzanne Matheny Phillips; son, M. Taylor Phillips; daughter, Hallie N. Phillips; father, J. Max Phillips; mother, Carolyn Phillips; and sister, Patti Eubanks. He was preceded in death by his birth mother, Novis Yancy Moore.
