Paul Francis Giles, 85, died March 24, 2010 at Indian River Medical Center. He was born in Rochester, NY and lived in Vero Beach for 27 years coming from Bryn Mawr, Pa. He attended St. Thomas Moore High School in Philadelphia and went on to graduate from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. He was employed for over 36 years with the Federal Government, spending over 10 years with the Veterans Administration. Paul was also employed at Social Security Administration, serving as a district manager, retiring in 1980. He served in the United States Army during World War II and the Korean War. He was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church. Survivors include his daughters, Janet M. (Guy) Pietrovito of Springfield, Va., and Gail M. Giles of Vero Beach; grandsons, Timothy Pietrovito, Geoffrey Pietrovito and Andrew Pietrovito, all of Springfield; sister-in-law, Teresa (John) Mitchell of Port St. Lucie. He was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Dorothy C. Giles, in 2001.A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 1:30 p.m., March 30, 2010 at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Vero Beach.
