Children’s Art Festival at Vero Beach Museum of Art

VERO BEACH — The Vero Beach Museum of Art will present its 29th annual Children’s Art Festival on Saturday, April 24 from 10 am to 4 pm throughout the Museum and outside in Riverside Park. The festival offers young people and their families an admission-free cultural event that celebrates the creativity and diversity of young people in the community.

Throughout the day, local cultural organizations, schools, and community groups, will provide stage performances, art projects, displays, demonstrations, and interactive activities for youth of all ages in Riverside Park.

In and around the Museum, visitors will also be treated to youth entertainment, school performances, and school art displays, while the Museum Art School will provide a diversity of free art activities in the studio classrooms for youth and families.

Visitors of all ages will enjoy free admission to all Museum art exhibitions including Ships and Shorelines: William Bradford and Nineteenth-Century American Marine Painting; Food For Thought: Sculpture by Luis Montoya and Leslie Ortiz; A Secret Language: Sculpture by John Bisbee, Watercolors from the Permanent Collection; Selected Works from the Permanent Collection; and the opening day of the Indian River County Student Juried Exhibition.

Chelsea’s @ the Museum café will be available for superb sandwiches, soup, salads, sweets, and refreshments. Vendors will also be available in Riverside Park selling food and refreshments.
