Richard “Richie” D. Grant Jr., 17, died March 12, 2010, at Holmes Regional Medical Center, Melbourne.
He was born in Vero Beach and was a lifelong resident of this area. He was a student at Sebastian River High School.
Survivors include his father and stepmother, Richard D. Grant Sr. and Renee of Vero Beach; mother and stepfather, Michelle R. and Michael Gent of Cleveland, Tenn.; sisters, Sara Grant and Jennifer Grant, both of Cleveland, Tenn.; brothers, Jamie Wilson, Nicole Grant and Benjamin Grant, all of Vero Beach, and Eddie Gent of Ocala; paternal grandparents, Roger Grant Sr. and Audrey Grant of Athens, Tenn.; and maternal grandparents, Donald and Patricia Welsh of Brownsville, Calif.
Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. March 19 at Seawinds Funeral Home Chapel, Sebastian, with a service at 2 p.m.
