Carrie Beatrice McClinton, 61, died March 3, 2010, at Lakeland Regional Medical Center in Lakeland.
She was born in Palatka and was a resident of Brevard County for one year, coming from Vero Beach. She was a member of Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church, where she was a member of the Women’s Ministry, Choir no. 1, and the kitchen committee.
Survivors include her husband, Henry Lee McClinton Jr. of Palm Bay; son, Kareem McClinton of Palm Bay; daughters, Lisa Hamilton and Tangela Perry, both of Rochester, N.Y., and Teresa Swails of Vero Beach; brother, Nick Chester of Miami; sisters, Mary Merritt of Alaska, Evelyn Johnson of Palatka, Rose Francois of Miami and Charley Lumpkin of Vero Beach; 10 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie J. and Beatrice Grooms Chester, and three siblings.
Visitation will be 4 to 7 p.m. March 12 at Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church in Vero Beach. A service will be 11 a.m. March 13 at Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church in Vero Beach.
Burial will follow at Gifford Cemetery in Gifford. Arrangements are by Stone Brothers Funeral Home. A guest book may be stonebrothersfuneralhome.com.
