Seminole scholar Patsy West to speak at Emerson Center

VERO BEACH — The Emerson Center Humanities Series concludes its six-performance series on Thursday, April 8 at 7 p.m. with the presentation, From Hard Times to Hard Rock by Seminole scholar Patsy West.  Ms. West, Director of the Seminole/Miccosukee Photo Archive, will share history and stories of the Seminole Indian Tribe.  West is a seasoned presenter with the Humanities Speakers Bureau and has published numerous pieces on the Seminoles through the University Press of Florida.

The Humanities Series is presented by The Emerson Center, at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship in Vero Beach, in partnership with the Florida Humanities Council.  Seven acclaimed speakers and performers have been presented at the Center since October 2009 with presentations relating to Florida and National history and issues.
