Fred W. Bristol Jr., 81, died March 8, 2010 at the VNA Hospice House in Vero Beach.
He was born in Peace Dale, R.I., and lived in Vero Beach since 2005, coming from Annapolis, Md.
He was a graduate of the University of Rhode Island and a veteran of the Korean War serving in the Army. Prior to his retirement, he worked for Martin Marietta as an aeronautical engineer for more than 40 years.
Survivors include his wife of 38 years, Ginny Bristol of Vero Beach; sons, Jeff Bristol of Virginia Beach, Va., and Kevin Bristo of Forest Hill, Md.; brother, Bob Bristol of Abingdon, Md; and three grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his brother, John Bristol.

A Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. March 10 at St. Sebastian Catholic Church, Sebastian.
