Habitat for Humanity seeking financial counselors, volunteers

INDIAN RIVAR COUNTY — In April, Family Services will implement a new component to our Homeownership Training Program that will provide three sessions of individual financial counseling for prospective homeowners completing the Home Buying Educational Classes.

Counselors are needed who are willing to spend approximately one hour a week working individually with a prospective homeowner, every other week for six weeks.

Prospective Homeowners will benefit from the one on one attention that will be given to their current financial situation as well as the time given to planning a future budget for once they are in their new home.

If you are interested in volunteering in this capacity, please contact Lindsey Goodall at 562-9860 ext. 211.

Orientation classes for all new Habitat volunteers are scheduled on an ongoing basis.  Interested applicants are asked to contact Liz Kimble at (772) 562-9860 ext. 211 for sign-up information.
