Water main break forces boil water notice in Grand Harbor

INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — A broken water main in the Grand Harbor community has forced 11 water customes on Paseo Del Lago Lane to boil their water for up to the next 72 hours.

The outage was reported at 10 a.m. and was expected to be restored within four hours. Upon restoration of water service, the Indian River County Utilities Department advises that all water used for the following be boiled (a rolling boil of one minute is sufficient):

This boil water notice will remain in effect until a bacteriological survey shows that the water is safe to drink. The department is unable to provide an exact time of survey completion, though it should be no more than 72 hours.
