Robert R. Rausch, 86, died Feb. 24, 2010, at his home.
He was born in Chicago and lived in Vero Beach since 1979, coming from Springfield, Va. Before retirement, he was chief of currency and stamp printing at the Bureau of Engraving and Printing, Washington, D.C.
He was an Army veteran, serving in World War II. He was a member of Columbia Masonic Lodge in Arlington, Va., the Plate Printers Union and the First Church of Christ, Scientist, Vero Beach.
He was a pilot and flew doctors, nurses and supplies to Homestead after Hurricane Andrew.
Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Jane Rausch of Vero Beach; sons, Robert S. Rausch of Fort Lauderdale and William C. Rausch of Deltona; daughter, Patricia Rausch of Vero Beach; brother, Clarence Rausch of Henderson, Nev.; and three grandchildren.
