Jim McPherson, 76, died Feb. 20, 2010, at Sebastian River Medical Center.
He was born in Haverhill, Mass., and lived in Sebastian for 13 years, coming from Wilbraham, Mass. He worked with the Bendix Co. and Maxon Industries, both in New England. He was former owner of Wilbraham Light Shop.
He served in the Air Force and was a volunteer with the Sebastian Police Department. He attended Unity Church of Vero Beach.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy D. McPherson of Sebastian; sons, Jim McPherson Jr. of Plaistow, N.H., Doug McPherson of San Diego and Ken Anderson of Billerica, Mass.; daughter, Susan Cassidy of Meredith, N.H.; brother, Tom McPherson of Hampstead, N.H.; sisters, Edith Girouard of King City, Ore., Bonnie Whalen of Nashua, N.H., and Sandra Harrison of Plaistow, N.H.; and five grandchildren.

A memorial service will be at 4:30 p.m. Feb. 24 in the clubhouse of Reflections on the River, Sebastian.
